Latest JEE Main 2026 Updates
NTA has already released the registration schedule, along with the timelines for both exam sessions. Session 1 will be conducted in January 2026, and Session 2 will take place in April 2026. Students can download their admit cards a few days before each exam, and results for both sessions will follow shortly after.
No major changes have been announced in the exam pattern, languages, or attempt structure. The application window is strictly time-bound, so students are advised to complete registration early.

What is JEE Main?
JEE Main is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the gateway to top engineering colleges across India, including NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and various state-level institutions.

Eligibility Criteria
Students who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible to apply. You must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 from a recognized board.
For admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, the 75% rule (or top 20 percentile rule) applies. There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main.
Candidates can attempt JEE Main for three consecutive years, with two attempts per year.

JEE Main 2026 Syllabus
